Before my ADHD diagnosis, I lost at least 10 jobs in my 20s, was ousted as founder and CEO of an international children's art franchise, rediscovered my true passion, received my diagnosis, and have thrived joyfully in my work ever since. Now, I'm eager to share my hard-won insights to guide ADHD adults and teens toward embracing their authentic selves and building fulfilling careers, it's all rooted in understanding your brain wiring.

I'm Shell Mendelson, ADHD Career Coach and Counselor. With a Master's in Vocational and Career Counseling, I've supported thousands through career shifts, authored numerous ADHD-focused articles, and built a thriving solopreneur business with a masterclass for those in professional limbo. My own path has weathered dark valleys and triumphs, always circling back to the spark of work I love, a "how-to" I'm passionate about sharing globally.

My Undiagnosed Journey

Pre-2010, I lived undiagnosed with ADHD into what some might call "elderly" years by neurodiverse standards, a long stretch of feeling like an outsider. Like many neurodivergent people, my road was rocky, forcing my square-peg self into round-hole jobs, most intensely as founder and CEO of KidzArt. As the sole ADHD leader there, I grappled with the chaos while others seemed drama-free. That high-achieving venture crumbled inwardly, prompting me to unearth a friend's gifted ADHD book from two years prior, stashed in a drawer but calling to me in crisis. It propelled me back to my core love: career counseling and coaching.
